How would you describe your photography style?
I would describe my shooting and editing style as classic, light, & balanced. I love creating images with movement, laughter, and organic interactions. I utilize natural light and minimal editing to showcase beauty within each individual and their surroundings.
Can I customize my wedding package to fit our needs?
Absolutely. I call it a “general” price sheet, because sometimes it’s not a one size fits all. I have an a la carte section which gives you the option to create your own, or add to any package.
Are engagement photos included in your wedding packages?
Some packages do include the complimentary engagement session, you can also add on an engagement session to any package.
What does the payment schedule look like?
To book your date a $1000.00 retainer is due upon signing the contract. This payment is non-refundable and locks in your wedding date with me! The remainder is due one week before the big day. You have the option to make payments a long the way well. For other sessions, like family, maternity, lifestyle, etc. the payment is due in cash at the session.
What are some tips and tricks for getting the most out of our wedding photos? Is there anything we can do to help make your job more easy / successful?
Love this question. I send out a questionnaire to my couples that will smooth out any bumps in the road before the big day. You should not have to worry about a thing once your wedding day is here. Just relax, smile, and have fun!
do I need a second shooter for my wedding day?
I always recommend having a second shooter. They are a big help the day of and can capture many moments and details from a different perspective! And plus side, your gallery will look much more full and complete with one!
my fiance and I are a little awkward in front of cameras, do you give any direction or help with posing?
Absolutely! I will always be guiding you throughout our time shooting on how to pose / what to do / how to move. Communication is super important to me + a huge part of what I do. Plus making sure my couples feel comfortable in their poses / movements makes for some beautiful images.
Do you have recommendations for other vendors?
Yes, I have a vendor’s list that I’m happy to share. I have worked with each one of them and they are exceptional.
Can we order prints / albums directly through you?
Yes, you can. Your private gallery gives you this option, you can also shoot me an email with the amount and sizes of the images, and I can take it from there.
Do you shoot and edit all of your photos? Or are there other associate photographers working for you?
Yes, I am always the main photographer, and I edit everything. I do hire wonderful second shooters that work with me to make sure we capture the entire day thoroughly.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Yes, but only out of the 60 mile radius from Ventura.
Do you offer cash discounts?
Yes! For cash wedding payments I offer a $250 discount.
What types of payment methods do you take?
Cash is preferred method of payment. I also accept checks and most major credit cards.
Are there any hidden fees I should know about before booking with you?
Nope! No extra costs after your full payment is paid (which is due a week before the wedding). Unless of course, you wanted to purchase an album or prints through me later on. Those are not included.
What do I wear to my engagement session? Can I bring more than one outfit?
I provide you with a style guide to help you choose the perfect outfit for you AND your fiancé, and let you know what to bring!
Do you need to see the venue before the event?
Generally no, I always arrive early to the venue to do a complete walk through and map out where we will take most of the photos. If you are concerned at all with the location and photo op spots, I’m happy to schedule a walk-through with you.
What specific shot list is helpful for us to provide? When would you like to receive the shot list?
I send out a recommended family shot list along with the questionnaire (which asks about specific shots). I ask for those to be emailed back to me at least 1 week before the wedding.
Do you have location recommendations for your photo sessions? Can I choose my own location?
Yes, I have several location options for you to choose from that I provide before the session. And yes! I’m always open to going to new ones!
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes I do, but only during spring and fall.
Do you offer studio sessions?
No I do not. I currently I do not have a studio of my own.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
For wedding galleries: 4-6 weeks. Engagement Session: 1-2 weeks.
How many photos do I get?
You get them all! I cull through and carefully edit all of the best images and send everything to you via high resolution Jpeg. There is no exact or set amount that you will receive. Generally, I generate about 75-100 photos per hour.
Do you do sneak peeks?
Yes! 24 hours after taking your photos, you will receive a small sneak peek gallery. Sometimes even the night of.
How do I receive my gallery? and Does it cost more to download the images?
Your private online gallery will be sent you via email where you will find all of your edited high resolution images ready for download. No extra cost for downloading.
Do I own the rights to my photos?
I maintain the copyright of the images taken by me. The client has access to download, print, share, make copies for family, friends and for personal use. However, not for the sake of commercial use in any way without my written permission.
Are you flexible with dates if the weather isn’t great?
Yes! Very much so! I’ll always be in touch with you in case it’s looking gloomy.
